Instructions

Step 1

Pick up a ribbon for a gift. Its width should be at least 2, but not more than 4 centimeters. If you are using multi-colored wrapping paper, a single-color tape is preferable. And for gifts packed in plain paper, choose a multi-colored ribbon, it will make the packaging more solemn. Keep in mind that for a bow, the diameter of which will be about 12 centimeters, you will need 3 meters of ribbon. Also, add a length long enough to tie the package.

Step 2

Roll the ribbon into a roll by wrapping it around the palm of your hand 7-10 times. The number of turns will depend on the density and width of the belt material.

Step 3

Flatten the resulting skein so that it forms a line. The resulting creases will not be noticeable, as they end up inside the bow. Using sharp scissors, carefully cut 4 corners of the tape. The PP jumper won't break, so don't be afraid to cut off more.

Step 4

Attach both pieces of tape to each other, aligning the cuts. This jumper is required only for wide PP tapes. Narrow nylon and ribbons from other thin fabrics fold well and crumple by themselves.

Step 5

Tie the cuts at the narrowest point with a piece of thin wire or string. A tape of the same color is also suitable, but no more than 5 millimeters wide. And also, a narrow strip of polypropylene tape, separated from the main skein, can serve as a jumper.

Step 6

Take the bow by where it is tied with a string. In order to give the bow a ball-like shape, start pulling the loops of the ribbon in different directions. Start with those loops that are in the very center and pull one out to the left, the other to the right. In this case, each extended loop must be turned at right angles, pulling up from the center - this way you can make a bow of the desired shape.
