Step 1
The easiest way to make a Christmas tree bow is to make it out of colored paper. It is best to use velvet colored paper. Plain colored paper will work, but the bow will not look so pretty.
If you do not have double-sided colored paper, take one-sided one, glue two sheets of colored paper together and use it as a blank. Use scissors to cut a rectangle of the desired size and, crushing it in the middle with an "accordion", tie with a thin thread. The Christmas tree decoration is ready!

If you don't have colored paper at hand, you can use plain white paper by decorating it with felt-tip pens, paints or pencils.
Step 3
A Christmas tree decoration made of bright or multi-colored fabric will look original. If the fabric is too thin, glue several pieces together.
A beautiful button can be sewn into the center of the resulting bow. Such a bow can also be decorated with embroidery or beads.
Step 4
A Christmas tree bow can also be made from almost any available materials: from foil or metal sheet, from thin plastic or a tin can, from a long cord or a piece of thick elastic band.

If you have absolutely nothing at hand, the bow can be molded from salted dough. After giving the jewelry the desired shape, dry it in the oven and, when it cools down, paint it with watercolors. When the bows are ready, it's time to decorate the tree with them. Light paper bows are appropriate to hang on thin branches, and bows made on a fabric basis can be placed on lower, heavier branches. A bow made of salted dough is ideal for decorating the top.
