Tonality in musical terminology means the altitude position of the fret. It is determined by the main tone of the scale (height) and key signs (inclination or mode). In some cases, when transcribing a piece to a certain composition, you have to change the key for the convenience of performance. This activity requires a lot of attention and a fair amount of time. Changing the key is called transport or transposition.
Instructions
Step 1
It's much easier to transpose a midi score. Open any music editor, for example “Finale”, “Sibelius” or “GuitarPro.” Open the “File” menu - then “Import” - “Midi.” Select the desired file and click the “Import” button. After the import is complete, the file will be decomposed on notes, and the menu can be closed.
Step 2
Place key marks at the beginning of the score. The key of the original can be determined by the stable chord and its coloration (C, F, B flat, major, minor).
Step 3
Select the entire score by pressing the "Ctrl-A" keys. From the Notes menu, select the Transpose option. Adjust transport parameters: up or down, by interval or by key. Please note that the scale cannot be changed when transposed. Press the “OK” button to close the menu and change the key.
Step 4
If the notes are written in notes, then under each of them write a number indicating the number of the step in the original key. Then, on a blank sheet of paper, write down all the same numbers in the same order. Expose the key signs of the new key and write down the steps corresponding to it according to the digital scheme.
