Many people dream of a beautiful and comfortable home. To achieve this goal, they agree to the real punishment - repairs. As a result, the floor is covered with beautiful tiles or smooth and even parquet. Only in the mornings, stepping barefoot on the cold tiles, you understand that in this situation a warm and soft rug would be useful to you.
It is necessary
- - 50 grams of cotton braid or beautiful yarn;
- - several sticks, the diameter of which reaches 7 cm;
- - strong cord and a sheet of cardboard with dimensions of 13x20 cm;
- - multi-colored scraps of fabric.
Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the fabric into strips that are 4 cm wide. Then take a cardboard template and wind them evenly. Where folds have formed, cut the strips of fabric. At the exit, you should get small pieces of 4 by 13 cm.
Step 2
Now take two forked sticks, cross with the crossbars and make a weaving frame. Tie the sticks together carefully by tying them with a cord.
Step 3
Pull the yarn you have on the prepared frame, wrapping it around the crossbars. At a distance of 1 cm, there should be 132 thread warp. This number is based on the assumption that the carpet is 85 cm long and 65 cm wide. You can change these dimensions if you wish.
Step 4
Take a cord and tie a chain from it. This can be done using an ordinary crochet hook. Now make a loop out of the cord, over which you hook the hook.
Step 5
Draw it to the first two strands on the frame (start from the right side). Grab them with a loop and pull the rest of the cord through it. As a result, a new loop should form, which must be passed through the next two warp threads.
Step 6
Repeat these steps until you reach the end. Secure the cord. To form the canvas, secure the cord and pull it through the warp threads.
Step 7
Work the first row, tie a few brightly colored shreds, then go back down the next row. Try to pull the cord staggered between the threads. Push each row tightly to the previous one.
Step 8
At the end of the work, cut the ends of the thread base on both rungs. This will free the carpet. Tie together even and odd threads (1 and 3, 2 and 4, etc.). The carpet is ready, now your feet will be warm in winter.
