A hammock is an irreplaceable thing for a summer vacation. How nice it is on a warm summer evening to lie in a hammock in the country, not thinking about problems and business. Just reading your favorite book or dreaming about the future, quietly enjoy life. How wonderful it is! You can, of course, buy a hammock in a store, but it's more interesting to do something more original - to sew it yourself.
It is necessary
Any durable canvas (length - 2.5 m; width - 1.5 m), strong rope or linen cord, 2 handles for a shovel
Instructions
Step 1
To get started, buy all the necessary materials: any durable canvas (length - 2.5 m; width - 1.5 m), a strong rope or linen cord. Replace the two sturdy sticks that are needed for the hammock with shovel cuttings. You can buy them at any hardware store.
Step 2
Fold the edges of the long sides of the fabric, then sew with thick threads on the sewing machine.
Step 3
Cut the shovel cuttings so that their length is equal to the width of the blade. To prevent the tree from spoiling in the rain, cover the cuttings with a layer of oil varnish.
Step 4
Step back 7 cm from the ends of the cuttings, drill holes in them. Pass the laundry cord through the holes of the sticks. Do not forget that the cord should wrap around the tree 2 times and leave an allowance for the knot.
Step 5
On the narrow side of the canvas, grab the edges with special metal rivets.
Step 6
If you wish, you can also sew a pillow for the hammock - for more convenience. You can shape it with a filler made from pieces of foam rubber, and fasten it to the hammock with the same metal rivets. We hope that our tips will help you make your summer season amazing and unforgettable.
