A gift in an exclusive package is doubly expensive. The simplest thing is to use an ordinary box, for example, from under shoes, breakfast cereals or tea, and make an original decor for it. But sometimes it’s impossible to find the right size box. However, there is a way out of this situation - to do it yourself.
It is necessary
- - thick cardboard;
- - scissors;
- - ruler;
- - simple pencil
- - PVA glue;
- - colored paper for scrapbooking (or any other);
- - ribbons, lace, artificial or natural flowers.
Instructions
Step 1
Place the cardboard on a flat surface. Attach the gift that you are going to pack in a box in the middle of the sheet. This will help you find the right package size. Using a ruler, draw a rectangle around the presentation.
Step 2
Measure the height of the gift and draw another larger rectangle. Moreover, the distance between the parallel segments should be equal to the measure of the desired height of the walls of the box.
Step 3
Then draw line segments at a distance of 1, 5-2 cm from the rectangle. This is necessary to make a fold on the walls of the box, which will strengthen them and make the edge more neat.
Step 4
Cut out a piece for the lid. It should be 1-2 mm larger than the bottom on all sides, so that the lid freely closes the box. Cut out the details.
Step 5
There are squares in the corners of the blanks. Draw diagonal lines in them, which will indicate the place of the fold. Cut the parts for the fold over these squares. Place a ruler over the lines and trace along them with the back of the scissors. This will make the folds neater.
Step 6
Fold the fold allowance towards the inside of the box. Fold the corners of the rectangle to face inward. Glue them to the sides of the box. Apply glue to the doorways and glue to the inside of the walls. Assemble the cover in the same way.
Step 7
Now the fun part is decorating. For this, any colored decorative paper or old newspapers, magazines, cards, sheet music, and so on are suitable. Think about what the donee will like the most. Your gift must certainly be addressed.
Step 8
Wrap the box with decorative paper and glue it to the inside as well. Decorate the bottom and sides of the box. Using a glue gun, attach a bunch of fresh flowers, dried flowers, lace, ribbons, beads, buttons or any other decor to the lid.
Step 9
The original idea is to use balloons instead of the traditional ribbon. To do this, tie several balls (not inflated) into a ribbon, tie a box with it. Tie several balls into a bundle and tie in the middle, you get a nice and unusual bow.
