How to tie a coat

It is necessary

  • 800 g mohair
  • circular needles No. 2, 5

Instructions

Step 1

Start knitting the coat from the collar. Calculate the elastic and cast on the required number of loops on the circular knitting needles folded together. Add another 8-10 loops per fastener to the calculation. Take out one knitting needle, straighten the loops so that they do not twist anywhere, and start knitting a 1x1 elastic band. Mark the edges of the fastener with knots of threads of a different color. Knit these loops all the time. Knit with an elastic band 10-12cm, depending on the height of the collar.

Step 2

Divide the number of loops by 6. Distribute them as follows: loops for a fastener +1/6 for half a shelf, 1/6 for a sleeve, 2/6 for a back, 1/6 for a sleeve, 1/6 + loops for a fastener - on a shelf. Mark the raglan lines with a different color of thread. When moving from the collar to the main part of knitting, make a loop on one of the shelves. To do this, close in the middle of the row 3 or 4 loops, depending on the size of the buttons, and in the next row cast on the same number of air loops.

Step 3

Knit the shelf, back and sleeves in a circle. Tie the first row of elastic: knit 8, purl 4. Start adding raglan. Tie the first half of the shelf to the penultimate loop, knit the last loop with the purl and make a yarn over. Start the sleeve with two front ones, after them make a yarn over, knit the next loop with a purl. Thus, add loops along all raglan lines. Raglan loops are added in each front row. Knit purl rows according to the pattern, without adding loops. Knit the yarn over of the previous row with a purl loop.

Having tied to the armhole line, remove the sleeves with an additional thread, and knit the shelf and back with an elastic band to the waist.

Step 4

From the waistband, start adding loops. Do this along the purl stripes. On each purl, add 1 loop by making a reverse yarn over. Knit the purl row according to the pattern, knitting the yarn over with purl loops. Knit the next row with an 8x5 elastic band. Make the next increase after 10 rows in exactly the same way. So add loops to the bottom line. Close the hinges.

Step 5

Move on to knitting sleeves. If you want to make a sleeve without a seam, knit it in a circle. Knit the sleeve, without dropping the loops, to the wrist. On the wrist, you can slightly reduce the loops so that the sleeve fits better. Tie the cuffs with 1x1 elastic.

Step 6

For a belt, cast on 20 loops on the knitting needles and knit it with a double elastic band - knit 1 loop with the front one, remove 1 untied, the thread behind the loop. In the next row we knit the front loops removed, remove the purl of the previous row.
