Step 1
To begin with, make the ship's hull itself directly, but do not install masts, sails and rigging on it. Install the boat body, corresponding to the diameter of the neck, inside the bottle, making sure that all parts go into the neck without problems, and then prepare all the masts and sails to install them separately.
Step 2
The secret of this technology lies in the rigid threads of the rigging, which do not wrinkle or bend. To obtain these threads, saturate the sewing thread with epoxy glue. When making masts and yards, cut the string to the desired length and glue it to the desired location on the mast. The construction of masts and sails will have a certain stiffness, and in the end you will only have to glue the ends of the stiff threads to the hull of the ship inside the bottle.
Step 3
Glue the separately assembled masts to the body inside the bottle one by one, and then glue the free ends of the rigging threads. Pre-install the sails on the yards, and in order for them to pass without any problems into the neck of the bottle along with the yards, give the sails mobility.
Step 4
To do this, glue the clew corners of the sails to the toes of the yards inside the bottle. Also, if the sails are too large, you can attach small hooks to the masts and install them in this form on the ship's hull, and then hang the sails on the ready-made hooks separately.
Step 5
Assemble the model slowly, step by step, to keep it neat. Since you assemble masts, sails and rigging separately from the ship's hull, you get the opportunity to make the ship itself wider than the neck of the bottle, which means that the work will be much more effective.
Step 6
For high-quality gluing of parts on the body, use long thin tweezers, and to install the masts, make a simple device - a thin long tube with the fishing line folded in half, passing through the inside. Place a loop of line over the mast, push it into the bottle, and tug on the line to put the mast in place.
