On May 19, the prince of the British crown Harry, the son of Charles and the deceased Princess Diana, officially married Meghan Markle, an actress from the United States. Until the very last minute, the style and fashion designer of the festive dress for the ceremony was kept in secret. Finally, the dazzling outfit of the bride saw the light!
The mystery was revealed at the moment in which the future princess opened the door of the limousine to go to the church of St. George for the wedding ceremony.
However, this is not the only wedding dress that has been shown to the world by a young royal. The Duchess of Sussex - such a new title was awarded to the young princess by Queen Elizabeth II of Britain - arrived at the informal after-party at Frogmore Palace in a completely different snow-white outfit! And a few months earlier, for the royal family portrait in the official status of the bride of the heir to the crown Harry, Miss Markle wore a dress by the talented duo of designers Ralph & Russo, which provoked rumors that this particular outfit (or at least this brand) would be wedding. The dress for the photo shoot was made of dark translucent gauze, the top was adorned with sophisticated golden embroidery, and the bottom was made of black tulle.
So, for the wedding ceremony of the British monarch in the chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle, Meghan Markle arrived in a royal elegant snow-white dress with a shallow graceful neckline made from shoulder to shoulder in the shape of a boat. This bridal masterpiece was created by English girl designer Claire Waite Keller, who took over as Creative Director at Givenchy (France) last year. Now celebrity designer Claire showed off her premiere collection in Givenchy fashion history in early 2018.
The designer wowed Meghan with her sense of style, timeless all-season cuts. The future duchess, inspired by the girl's work, met Claire personally and commissioned her to create Britain's most iconic wedding masterpiece of the year. By the way, before the Givenchy house, Keller had already held the same position at Pringle of Scotland, as well as at Chloe.
Cut the first wedding dress
The outfit is made in an absolutely minimalistic design. A graceful neckline frames the beautiful shoulders of the fashion model and favorably emphasizes the thin waist of the bride. The sleeves of the dress are three-quarters long. The fabric of the dress is two-layer flowing silk. The petticoat is made of three-layer organza woven on the basis of silk. The imposing train carried down the steps of the chapel by two boys in tailcoats is a real highlight of the royal outfit.
This very delicate, simple, but at the same time incredibly sophisticated dress refers to the early works of the Givenchy design house and fully embodies Meghan Markle herself with her love of minimalism, but at the same time speaks of her as a person with exquisite taste.
During the ceremony, the bride's head and face were covered with the finest snow-white veil made of floral silk. The pattern on the fabric represented the 53 countries that make up the Commonwealth of Nations of the British Empire. The idea was proposed by Megan herself, who, together with Prince Harry in the Commonwealth countries, is engaged in charity work. The designer, with great love, picked up flowers growing in each of the states belonging to the Commonwealth. The style of the bride's veil is very similar to the image created at the wedding ceremony by the bride's older brother Harry William. Kate was also wearing a flowing silk veil with hand-embroidered flowers.
Second party dress
After-party of the wedding, as the royal reception of the newlyweds was dubbed at Frogmore Palace, the prince's wife attended in another designer wedding dress from Stella McCartney. An even more restrained, but less formal dress made a splash among fans of the British crown.
Similar to the first, a minimalistic fitted silhouette, but with flirty open shoulders. This dress looked royal on Megan. The look was complemented by delicate Cartier earrings and an aquamarine ring belonging to the famous Princess Diana. And the sole of her Aquazzura pumps set off the whole look with a delicate heavenly light.
