Scientists rarely manage to predict what technology will be in the future. But you can still try. And you don't have to describe your ideas in words - you can sketch them. Suddenly you will guess the course of engineering thought at least partially.

Instructions

Step 1

Consider the fact that throughout the history of the automotive industry, attempts to replace wheels with other propellers, at least on cars, have ended in failure. Engineers each time returned to the four classic wheels with rubber tires. Maybe your attempt to come up with an alternative to them will be successful. Draw, for example, a car on an air cushion or a superconducting magnetic suspension (the latter, however, will need not an asphalt, but a steel road).

Step 2

Although the electric car was invented before the car with an internal combustion engine, the mass production of such cars began relatively recently. If you are drawing a vehicle with a slightly open hood, draw an electric motor inside it (it has the shape of a cylinder) and several batteries around it. Don't forget about the small control box for this engine. It is possible, however, to fill the entire space under the hood and even partially in the trunk with batteries. After all, if you abandon the transmission and cardan and place a separate electric motor next to each wheel, the car will be more economical and maneuverable. You can also do without local energy storage at all: since the trolleybus is able to receive voltage through the wires, why not draw a car with current collectors.

Step 3

It is also possible to combine gasoline and electric engines in one car. The first of them, relatively low-power, drives a generator that charges a buffer battery or supercapacitor, and the second drives a wheel to rotate. Such a car sometimes turns out to be more economical than usual due to the fact that the gasoline engine always runs at optimal speed. For a hybrid car, draw side-by-side motors of both types, and there may be fewer batteries around them than in an electric car.

Step 4

And what kind of fuel, besides gasoline or diesel fuel, can an internal combustion engine be powered by? It is impractical to draw LPG equipment - you will get a machine not of the future, but of the present. According to some forecasts, a revival of gas-fired vehicles is possible in the near future. They can run on any solid fuel that is cheaper than liquid and gaseous fuels. The gas generator looks like a vertical cylinder located on the side wall of the machine.

Step 5

Think also about the design of the car of the future. Its efficiency directly depends on the aerodynamic qualities of the body. Not only the machine itself, but also its protruding elements, for example, mirrors, can have a drop-shaped, streamlined shape. But much more changes will be made by designers to the car's interior. Already, the instrument cluster in some cars is being replaced by a multifunctional indicator - a color display, on which the measured parameters are presented in graphical form. A separate navigator on a suction cup is gradually giving way to a device built directly into the dashboard.
