If after the festive event you still have beautifully shaped bottles, do not rush to get rid of them. Such an elegant bottle can be the basis for making a decorative wicker vase or candlestick. To create a masterpiece, you need imagination, a set of simple tools and materials.
It is necessary
Bottle; colored enamelled copper wire; ruler; nippers; round nose pliers; sticky mite
Instructions
Step 1
Take copper wire and cut four pieces of copper wire that are 240mm larger than twice the height of the bottle. Cross the pieces of wire in the center of the bottom of the bottle and fold the ends up.
Step 2
Fold the ends of the wire into the neck of the bottle and secure the wire with adhesive tape at the widest part and near the neck itself.
Step 3
Attach a thin wire folded in half at the intersection of the pieces of wire and start weaving.
Step 4
Trace a braid wire around each wire in the frame. You should have a tightly woven and smooth surface. Change the color of the wire periodically to form the pattern you want from the stripes.
Step 5
Gradually braid the walls of the bottle, twisting the ends of the braiding wires together at the joints.
Step 6
Bring the braid to the edge of the bottle neck and pull the wires out of the frame. Using round-nose pliers, make flat spirals from the skeleton wires.
Step 7
Continue braiding the wire around the curls so you can see the braid from the wrong side. Secure the last end of the wire by wrapping it several times around the cage wire. Cut off the end of the remaining wire.
