Of course, it's easier to buy gloves from the store. However, you must admit that it is much more pleasant to wear do-it-yourself gloves! Imagine how happy your family and friends will be with such a gift. If you decide to knit gloves, then for this you will need five knitting needles and threads, from 40 to 130 grams.
Instructions
Step 1
First, take all the necessary measurements, namely: the circumference of the hand, its length from the wrist to the base of the thumb, its length from the wrist to the base of the little finger, its length from the wrist to the index finger.
Step 2
To calculate the required number of loops, knit a sample with hosiery, and use it to determine the density of the resulting knitting. For example, there are four loops per centimeter. Count the number of loops you need to get started, that is, multiply the circumference of the brush by the number of loops (if the circumference is, say, 20 cm, then 20x4 = 80).
Step 3
If the number is not round, round it down. The number must be a multiple of four, since the number of loops on four needles must be the same.
Step 4
Now start knitting the glove itself. Fold two knitting needles together and cast as many loops on them as you count (to make it easier to navigate, let's take the number 60 for example). Free one loop.
Step 5
Tight the first row with a 1x1 elastic band, distribute the loops evenly on four knitting needles. Knit the first 15 loops with the first knitting needle, the next 15 loops - the second, the next 15 - the third and the last 15, respectively, the fourth. Pin a pin to the loops of the first knitting needle.
Step 6
On the first and second knitting needles, you should have the loops of the upper part of the glove, and on the third and fourth needles, the loops of the lower part. Close the knitting into a chain, for this, connect the thread from the ball to the end that remains from the set of loops. Knit a 1x1 elastic (2-9 cm) on the outside of the ring.
Step 7
Now knit the thumb wedge. For the left glove, the wedge will be located on the fourth spoke, and for the right glove, on the third. Start knitting it immediately after the elastic. To make a wedge, start adding stitches. Make the first addition at the end of the fourth knitting needle.
Step 8
Knit all the loops except the last one, make a yarn over, knit it with the front one, make a yarn over again. On this knitting needle, you will get 2 more loops.
Step 9
After making the thumb wedge, knit the glove down to the little finger.
Step 10
Now you need to distribute the loops for all fingers. Divide the loops into 8 parts, each finger should have 2 parts - for the upper half and for the lower half. Divide the remainder equally.
Step 11
Now you need to make a hole for the little finger. To do this, tie the loops of the second knitting needle to the loops of the little finger, remove 9 loops, without knitting, onto a pin.
Step 12
Take another pin and remove 7 loops on it from the third knitting needle. On the second knitting needle, throw 4 loops, knit the rest of the loops with it on the third knitting needle. Then knit 3-4 circles for the index finger.
Step 13
Now tie your fingers. The knitting algorithm is approximately the same, only the sizes of each finger are different. Follow it with the example of knitting a thumb:
Thumb loops are located on the first and fourth needles. Perform your thumb on three knitting needles, dividing them equally, in our case, 7 on each. First, knit 9 loops on the first knitting needle, and transfer the remaining loops to pins, except for the last 8 loops. Divide them equally into two knitting needles. Divide the loops of the first knitting needle into two parts, transfer the first loops to the other knitting needle, and leave the second part on this one.
Step 14
Cast on 4 more air loops on it, knit the first loop from the other knitting needle so that there are 7 loops on each knitting needle. Now cut off the thread, use a needle to sew on the loops and pull tight. Knit the rest of your fingers in the same way.
Step 15
At the end of knitting, hide all the threads on the wrong side. Happy use of ready-made gloves!
