The charming and incredibly intelligent man often played the roles of various cinema heroes who beat women's hearts. But he did not plan to be an actor, and he was "brought" to GITIS by accident. He was always popular with girls, but he chose the most worthy and desirable companion in life. She even left her homeland for her husband and moved to live in Russia.
A charming boy was born and grew up in a fairly wealthy family, his parent was a high-ranking employee of the "Exportles" organization. The boy was allowed everything, he was spoiled, and this led to uncontrollable hooligan behavior. For example, to his older brother, he barbarously sketched a drawing, on which the future engineer worked for several weeks. At school, he also did not differ in obedience, he was suspended from lessons, and his parents were frequent guests in the director's office. But this, fortunately, passed quickly.
By the time he graduated, he settled down and even listened to good advice from his parents - he decided to get a serious specialty.
But first, he worked as a tester for two years and applied to the Moscow Civil Engineering Institute. As it turned out, the technical direction did not inspire him. And after a couple of years he tried to become a student at the Moscow Art Theater, but was overwhelmed before the exams, which he successfully failed.
This was followed by an attempt to conquer the selection committee at GITIS, where they saw talent in him.
Kostolevsky did not confess to his parents for a long time and pretended that he still went to the construction institute. When the truth came to light, the parents were shocked and demanded to return to the university. However, Igor insisted on his own and completed his studies at GITIS.
The first love
Soon the young man fell in love with the girl of his circle. She led a bohemian life, loved to visit theaters, and had a fairly high position in society. It was she who pushed the ardent lover to change the priorities in his studies, calling Kostolevsky the true Yesenin and urging him to become an artist. Inspired, he set out to conquer the institutions of culture.
By the way, the girl who saw Yesenin in Igor did not support him already in the exams - by that moment they had safely parted.
Novels while studying
In GITIS Igor was in good standing, he was highly praised and noted for his ability to transform and concentrate on the stage, to transform from a modest Igor into a self-confident hero.
Many fellow students showed signs of attention to the handsome actor, but he even thoughtfully fell in love. I chose bright, noticeable women. For example, in GITIS he fell in love with a married woman, quite famous, but 10 years older than him. The beautiful actress presented herself superbly and easily turned the head of the young Kostolevsky. To win her heart, he even resorted to the help of fellow students who knew the star in showing signs of attention.
Falling in love with another celebrity covered the actor during the filming of the movie "Garage". He was seriously carried away by Olga Ostroumova, who at that moment was divorcing her second husband.
By the way, at the time of meeting Olga in the filmography of Kostolevsky there were already prominent roles in several films. For example, participation in the "Star of Captivating Happiness" brought him popularity. But at the same time, he was still ashamed to act in scenes of passion, and for a long time the director persuaded Igor to get ready. The film became a landmark for the actor.
First wife
On the set of the film "Vacation at Your Own Account", which brought popularity to the actor, a joyful event happened - Igor met his future wife.
In cinema, he played an atypical role for himself: instead of a lyrical hero, he played his absolute antipode, a major, very spoiled Muscovite from a wealthy family. The hero meets a provincial girl whom he once met on a business trip. She tracked him down in Moscow and even followed him on a business trip to Hungary.
According to the plot in the film, the hero of Kostolevsky has a pretentious Muscovite in his friends, the role of which was played by Elena Romanova. It was with her that Igor had a serious love affair that led to a real wedding. At the end of filming, Romanova and Kostolevsky became husband and wife.
The actor at that time actively performed at the Theater. Mayakovsky, where he arranged for his young wife. However, the newly-made wife soon became pregnant and took maternity leave.
The couple had a son, Alexei. Romanova did not leave the child, because he was often ill, he was diagnosed with bronchial asthma. Elena was especially suffering from the fans of her husband, who had become very popular. They not only called to clarify the relationship on the phone, but also were on duty at the entrance and left notes.
Kostolevsky worked hard to feed his family and save money for medicine. He spent days in the theater, played many roles in the cinema.
The marriage cracked: Igor was tired of work and misunderstanding of his wife, Elena - of fans and taking care of the house. In addition, she constantly tormented him with jealousy.
Second wife
The actor accepted an invitation to work in one of the theaters in Norway. There he also took part in the filming of "Oresteia" directed by Peter Stein. His partner was the delightful French actress Consuelo de Aviland. They began an office romance, which later grew into deep friendship and professional respect.
At that time, Kostolevsky was married to Romanova for the 20th year. But as an honest man, he decided to confess to his wife that he was seriously in love with another. Divorce is very difficult. Scandals and resentment haunted the faithful abandoned wife. She was greatly perplexed: for twenty years he had been a loving father and husband, and now an affair with a French woman negates such a strong marriage.
The second and extreme wife of Kostolevsky is the actress Consuelo de Aviland. She left her native France forever for the sake of her lover and received Russian citizenship in order to share life in Russia with him.
Today, Consuelo holds the position of the official representative of Russian Railways in Paris, has the President's award for merits in service, the Order of Friendship.
There are no children in this marriage, but the spouses declare that they are very happy together.
