When you were a child, when you were folding a boat out of paper, did you ever think that you were doing the ancient oriental art of origami? Origami is translated from Japanese as "folded paper". In China and Japan, it was very widespread among the upper class. And now this art knows no boundaries and anyone can do it. There are several types of origami, the most common are modular origami, unfolding, kirigami using scissors, wet folding and simple origami. If you want to learn this ancient and unusual art, then the best place to start is simple origami.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a rectangular piece of green or white paper. There is special paper for origami, but a simple office paper is also suitable for the first lessons. Fold the sheet in half.
Step 2
Bend and unbend the upper corners of the resulting rectangle one by one. Then fold and unfold the top quarter of the rectangle. You should have clearly visible crease marks. Then fold the top quarter of the rectangle and fold the sides of the shape.
Step 3
Move the layers of the upper triangle apart and fold up the corners of the base. Then fold the square section of the base in half. Take your time, make sure that the folds are even and pronounced.
Step 4
Fold the edges of the shape towards the middle.
Step 5
Bend and unfold the base again. Spread the lower layers of paper apart, fold the base up, and pull the corners apart. You should have a boat-like base.
Step 6
Spread the walls of the resulting boat and bend down its right and left edges.
Step 7
Gently push both petals out to the sides at the base of the figure. You will see that the figure has begun to resemble a frog. Bend the base of the frog into an accordion.
Step 8
Turn the frog over and press down on the back. If you did everything correctly, the frog will jump up. Now you can make many colorful frogs of different sizes and arrange jumping competitions.
Step 9
Make a boat for the frog. Take a square piece of paper of any color other than green. Fold the sheet over to form a triangle. Then unfold and fold into a triangle again, but on the other side.
Step 10
Fold all four corners towards the center so that the square is smaller than the original.
Flip the square over and fold all corners back to the center. Repeat the procedure one more time.
Step 11
Take the top and bottom sides of the square and carefully unfold them to form pipes. Now take the other two edges and pull them up. Fold the figurine in half. The ship for the frog is ready !.
