The technique of weaving a brick stitch from round beads is interesting and simple to perform. The tight assembly turns out to be very strong, but slightly more flexible than when weaving with mosaics, it allows you to create products with a checkerboard pattern.

Instructions
Step 1
Measure off a thread about 2m long. Begin stringing the beads from right to left, creating the first row of weave. Put on one bead and thread the needle through it from the opposite side and tighten. Place the second bead on the needle and go through the first bead, forming a circular loop. Bring the needle through the second bead you just picked. Tighten the thread again so that the 2 beads are tightly pressed against each other.
Step 2
Thread the next bead and make a circular turn again, passing through the previous bead and again through the new bead. Tighten the thread.
Step 3
Then continue weaving this chain, repeating the previous steps, until you have added all the beads to a certain length.
Step 4
When starting the second row, work from left to right. Cast on the first 2 beads, then thread the needle under the loop of the thread connecting the two lower beads of the first row. Pull the thread until 2 new beads are pressed firmly against the first row.
Step 5
Return by threading the needle through the last added bead of the second row and tighten. Cast on the next bead of the second row, thread the needle under the next string-loop between the 2 beads of the bottom row and return through the bead you just added.
Step 6
Weave the next row in the same way, but work the thread in the opposite direction. Next, place the beads in rows, as if laying bricks in the wall during the construction of the building. Change the direction of the thread with each row, moving back and forth in accordance with the pattern and moving up the fabric.
Step 7
If you need to narrow the width of the weaving, then the decrease can be done in the following ways: type at the beginning of the row not 2 beads, but one at a time, then the edge will narrow. And when the row decreases in the middle of the weaving, weave two loops with one bead, or just skip one loop, catching on the next and weave.
Step 8
There are two ways to enlarge the canvas. When increasing the fabric along the edges, cast on 2 beads at the beginning and dial at the end of the row one more additional bead, catching on the extreme thread-loop. In the process of increasing the row in the middle of weaving, weave two beads in one loop in turn, first one, then put the beads back on and hook onto the same loop.
Step 9
At the end of weaving, it is better to hide the remaining end of the thread so that the weaving does not unravel and there is no need to make a large knot. First, pass the needle with the rest of the thread in a random order through the beads of the weaving, then cut the remaining end of the thread. In the same way, you can add or insert a new thread and continue weaving.
