However, keep in mind that in this case, the wings should be made of thick paper or even cardboard. In addition, if your wings are very large, it is also worth making a wire frame for them, which can be glued to paper using bright multi-colored tape.

Option two - fabric. Fabric wings for a butterfly will look not only very impressive, but also very believable. To begin with, you need to make the frame of the future wing from thick wire. Next, the frame must be covered with a light stretching fabric: elastane, cotton, nylon. Alternatively, you can sprinkle these wings with glitter hairspray. Then they will look just magical.

The third option is threads and wire. Butterfly wings made of wire look really very unusual and impressive. To make them, you will need a very thick and thin wire, as well as multi-colored threads. First, make the frame of the wing. Next, you need to wrap the frame with a wire of a smaller diameter. After that, you need to tie a knot of thread at the base of the wing and begin to tighten the frame. In this case, the thread should fall into the gaps between the turns of the thin wire.
