When the question arises of who the girl should be at the carnival, there are few options: a snowflake, a princess or a fairy. The lady will not waste time on trifles and dress up as a bunny. If your child has chosen the role of a fairy, your task is to approve the choice and provide the girl with the necessary equipment, i.e. make wings for the fairy.

It is necessary

Rigid wire, scissors, chalk, tracing paper, organza, lace, sequins / beads / beads, elastic band, sewing machine

Instructions

Step 1

Make a pattern of the wings on tracing paper. Duplicate each of the parts for the left and right wings. Calculate the sizes depending on the height of the person. The upper part of the wings should rise 15 cm above the shoulders, the lower one should be 5 cm below the waist.

Step 2

Place the pattern on the fabric (a transparent organza of a pure pastel color, for example, lilac, is most suitable), pin along the perimeter with pins, circle with a chalk. Do not forget to add 4-6 cm from each edge to the size of each wing for the wings, into which you will insert the wire.

Step 3

Sweep the wings by hand. Leave a hole in each part for threading the wire. Baste lace to the front of the wings around the entire perimeter. The seam of the lace trim should match the seam of the drawstring.

Step 4

Sew the wings on a sewing machine.

Step 5

Insert the wire cage through the holes left, and bend it according to the shape of the product. Sew the holes by hand with a beading stitch.

Step 6

Sew the wings with sequins and beads (the pattern can be any). A pattern embroidered with small beads will look especially impressive.

Step 7

Sew the wings at the bases to each other from the inside. Sew two colored elastic bands or satin ribbons on the sides to fit the wings. Alternatively, baste them directly onto the suit by hand.
