Step 1
Prepare to work with polymer clay. You need a smooth surface on which you will roll out and lay out the parts to make your earrings. It can be smooth tiles, a sheet of white paper, glass. Place the desired colored plastics and bags next to each other so that you can remove the started packs. Polymer clay dries quickly and should be kept tightly wrapped in a bag.
Step 2
Put on thin rubber gloves and knead the clay before starting work. So it will become more plastic. If the material is slightly dry, you can add a drop of special softener.
Step 3
Form a rose from polymer clay of the color you need. Pinching off small pieces from the plastic, roll them into balls. Then flatten each ball into a flat cake between your fingers so that the edges are as thin as possible.
Step 4
Roll one petal into a tight tube. Wrap the next petal around it. Repeat the process with a few more tortillas. Bend the edges of the outer petals slightly outward, giving the flower a finished look. Thus, make a dozen miniature roses.
Step 5
Roll a piece of clay into a ball that will be the base for the rose earrings. Stick a wooden toothpick into it. Cut off the back of the roses with scissors or a sharp knife so that their back is flat, and attach them to the ball. Place flowers close to each other, just do not wrinkle the petals. Make a second ball of roses in the same way.
Step 6
Crumple up a piece of foil and place it on a baking sheet. Stick toothpicks with earring blanks into it. Bake the product in the oven. Be sure to check the temperature and time on the polymer clay label from which you sculpted. This data may differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. If you exceed the oven temperature, the plastic will darken or burn. Be sure to ventilate the area well when baking clay.
Step 7
Collect the earrings. The plastic should be completely cooled down after the oven. Dip the pin in clear glue and insert the hardware into the hole. After the glue is dry, attach the hooks to the post. Use round nose pliers and pliers to clamp small parts of the hardware.
