When designing clothes, every craftsman is faced with the need to cut out sleeves for different wardrobe items. The sleeves are cut out quite simply, but for this it is necessary to strictly adhere to the algorithm for constructing such a pattern.

Instructions
Step 1
Try cutting out a single-seam sleeve to get started that will work with any type of clothing. To do this, first of all, take your measurements. First, measure the length of the sleeve, as well as the length of the sleeve to the elbow. Write down the data. Next, measure the circumference of the arm at the shoulder and the circumference of the wrist.
Step 2
Having taken the measurements and using them during the construction of the pattern drawing, do not forget about the increments. In order for the sleeve to freely fit the arm, add about 6-8 cm to the measurement of the arm girth. For a loose fit around your wrist, try to step back as much as you see fit. It most of all depends on the style of clothing.
Step 3
Start building the pattern. Take a suitable large sheet of paper, step back 7-8 centimeters from its left edge, then draw a right angle. Its top will be point A. Below this point, set aside the measurement of the length of the sleeve. At the end of the straight line, put point H. This line is the middle of our sleeve. Next, you need to draw a perpendicular to it, which will be the bottom of the sleeve.
Step 4
Along the bottom line, set aside the measurement of the girth of the wrist, adding 2 cm to it. From the middle line, set aside equal measurements in both directions.
Step 5
Next, measure the length of the armhole on the pattern of the product for which we are making the sleeve. Divide this value by 3 and subtract from the result of division 2. Set aside this result from point A down on the midline. Draw a perpendicular. From the middle line, again on both sides, set aside half of the shoulder circumference to each side.
Step 6
Connect the points that you have formed with point A. The lines that you left after that, divide into four parts. Divide each one in half first, then halve it again.
Step 7
The front and back of our sleeve are best signed to avoid confusion. Point A will be the midpoint of the sleeve to be cut. Note that it aligns with the shoulder during sewing.
