Growing Tradescantia will not be difficult. Tradescantia propagates by apical cuttings. In an adult plant, cut off the tops of the stems, which have 5-6 nodes. Remove 1-2 bottom sheets. Place the cuttings in a container of water. When roots appear on them, Tradescantia can be planted in a pot.

Fill the flowerpot with drainage and soil. It is recommended to add a little peat and river sand to the soil. Moisten the ground, make depressions, and plant the cuttings.

2-3 shoots can be planted in one pot at once, deepening them to the first leaf. Compact the soil near the cuttings. After a few weeks, pinch the tops so that the tradescantia branches well.
Step 4
Growing tradescantia involves replanting an adult plant every spring. After 2-3 years, they change it, planting new, young cuttings.

The optimum temperature for tradescantia is + 25 ° C. Make sure that it does not fall below + 10 ° C. It is recommended to regularly ventilate the area where the plant is located. Tradescantia likes good lighting, but if there is too much light, the leaves can burn out.

Water the plant abundantly in the spring and summer. Make sure that no water stagnates in the pot, otherwise Tradescantia will get sick. Drain excess water from the sump after each watering.
