Carnation is a restrained and austere flower. Usually it is given to men, laid on monuments. If you have cats at home, then be careful - the flower is deadly for pets, do not let them eat the flowers. An alternative to a live bouquet can be a flower made from a napkin or paper. Artificial flowers can be placed on panels, postcards, put in a vase for beauty.

DIY napkin carnation

Making a carnation from napkins is quite simple. To do this, take napkins in red and green. You will also need a ruler with circles, glue, scissors, styrofoam, tweezers, and a thin wire.

From red napkins, cut out patterns in the form of flowers from six petals, pierce each in the middle with an awl or a needle. There should be at least five templates in total, as many as possible. Roll each template three times in half to make a petal. Place the petals on a damp napkin or gauze, as it will be easier for you to correct wet napkins: bend each petal into an "accordion", then immediately unfold.

Place a foam ball on a piece of wire (5 cm long), fix with glue. String the templates onto the wire, each passing through a circle in a ruler. You can crush the flower a little from above with your hands to hide the foam.

To make the buds, fewer parts are required; stars can be cut out of a green napkin and glued to the finished carnation bud. You can place the resulting flowers from the napkin in a beautiful composition on the panel.

Corrugated paper carnations

Flowers are no less beautiful from corrugated paper or napkins. Here take paper of green, red and white colors. You will also need wooden skewers, glue, floristry tape, wire, scissors.

To make one flower, you will need four sheets of corrugated paper 10x10 cm. Fold each square in half, then in half again. You will get a 5x5 cm square, bend it diagonally. Raise the upper bottom edge, cut the protruding part so that you have a triangle. Unscrew it one fold, and cut the jagged edges along the edge. Unfold the leaf and cut it along the folds almost to the middle. Do the same for all the clove leaves.

Now make the core - glue a piece of paper 3x5 cm with glue, twist it on the top of the skewer. Make a hole in the center of each leaf, pass it through a skewer, coat with glue, lift the petals upward, forming a flower. Do the same with three leaves.

To make the stem of the flower green, wrap it with a ribbon for floristry. For the leaves, cut two 10x2 cm strips out of green paper, as well as 2 5x3 strips. Cut off the pieces of wire so that there is enough of them for the length of the leaf with a margin to secure to the stem. Fold each leaf in half, cutting off the corners to shape.

First, attach small leaves to the flower, then large ones. For a bouquet, you need to make at least 3 flowers, one of which you can make in white. You can put the finished bouquet in a vase.

Thus, from napkins and other beautiful paper, you can create more than just carnations, if you practice. Artificial roses, tulips and daffodils will look equally beautiful.
