Signing a picture with your own name is no more difficult than adding any text to the picture. This can be done using the tools in the Type group of Photoshop. To add a name to an animated gif, you will have to use the Image Ready program.

Instructions
Step 1
In order to sign a static image with your name, open the image in a graphics editor and select one of the tools of the Type group from the tool palette. If you want the text to be placed horizontally, select the Horizontal Type Tool. To create a vertical label, you need the Vertical Type Tool. Click on any part of the picture and write a name.
Step 2
Move the cursor pointer away from the label. After it looks like an arrow, you can move the text to the place of the picture where the name should be.
Step 3
Customize the look of the decal. To do this, use the Character option from the Window menu to open the font palette. Highlight the name completely and choose the appropriate font, size and color. After finishing editing the caption, click on the text layer.
Step 4
If the name is written in a color that is present in the picture in large quantities, and because of this the inscription is lost against the background of the image, apply a stroke to the name. Click on the Stroke option, which can be found in the Layer Style group of the Layer menu. In the window that appears, select a color for the stroke so that the inscription is easily readable against the background of the picture.
Step 5
To insert a name into an animated gif, open the picture in Image Ready. Press the key combination Shift + Ctrl + M in order to go to editing the image in Photoshop.
Step 6
Click on the topmost layer in the layers palette to make it active. Use the Horizontal Type Tool or the Vertical Type Tool to write a name. This will create a text layer above the last active layer.
Step 7
Open the animation palette. This is done with the Animation option from the Window menu. When you turn on playback, you will notice that the name written over the picture is present in every frame of the animation and the inscription remains stationary.
Step 8
To save a static edited image, use the Save As option from the File menu. Save the picture to a.jpg"
