In our country, on Shrovetide, according to the good old tradition, it was customary to burn a scarecrow so that everything bad would burn with it, and as soon as possible a bright, clear, welcoming spring came and warmed everyone with its universal, kind warmth.
Where to begin
In order to make a stuffed animal with your own hands, you need to understand that you need materials that burn well. Also, remember that they will never come back to you. For example, when you dress a scarecrow in outfits, do not forget that they will also burn out and you will never see them again, so you should not dress Shrovetide in your personal clothes.
First you need two wooden sticks. One should be long, the height of a human, the other half as short. The thickness of the sticks can be from two centimeters, it is important that they are strong. Now we visually divide the long stick into three parts. Where the border of its upper and middle parts is located, we nail a short stick with one nail and a hammer, at a right angle. You should get a cross. This is the basis of your future scarecrow.
Now you are making a head from old newspapers, they just burn perfectly. Crumple the newspapers and form a large ball out of them. Next, cover it with a white cloth. Do not use synthetic fabrics in the manufacture of stuffed animals, let it be natural cotton rather. On a white background, draw a scarecrow's face, and sew hair on the top of the head. Hair can be made from ropes or fabric cut into thin strips. And also from hay you can easily form a chic, high hair, it will just burn perfectly. Attach the resulting head to the upper end of the cross frame. Do not forget that the scarecrow must be beautiful, draw a smile on her face, braid two braids, come up with a beautiful headdress, she must look solemn, festive. So that the scarecrow does not seem too thin, shape its body, also with the help of a newspaper. Especially tighten his waist, make big, wide hips, arms and, of course, lush, luxurious breasts. You can fix the newspaper with simple tape.
Creative part
Now it's time to get down to the most creative part - the dressing up of your beauty. It is better to always wear a bright, colored long skirt to the floor, a long-sleeved blouse and complement the resulting set with a shawl, stole or an elegant scarf. Make your hands from a small skein of hay. Just tie it to the ends of a short stick and fluff it up as if it were hands. You can weave a wreath of artificial flowers on your head, or sew a kokoshnik.
When it's time to burn the scarecrow, you simply insert your artwork into a snowdrift with one of its legs, which is not visible under the long skirt and is set on fire from below. Make a wish so that all troubles and sorrows turn to ashes, like your scarecrow.
