Smart and intelligent dolphins have long caused admiration and love in people, which often manifests itself in the desire to capture the beauty of dolphins on paper in a drawing. In this article, we will teach you how to draw dolphins, and in turn, you can teach the basics of drawing a dolphin to children.
Instructions
Step 1
The body of the dolphin is smooth and streamlined, and consists of smooth lines. Draw a semi-oval slightly inclined downward and draw a midline through it, extending from the end point of the oval - the future head.
Step 2
Focusing on the guide line coming out of the head, draw the outlines of the elongated dolphin's face, resembling a beak. On the same midline, draw a small eye, and above the eye, an eyebrow crease.
Step 3
Through the center of the muzzle, draw a mouth line curving under the eye. Use hatching to work on the light and dark areas of the dolphin's head, and then add the torso and fins.
Step 4
To draw the dolphin's head not sideways, but full-face, draw a circle and divide it into four equal parts with intersecting lines. Just below the horizontal line, draw another guideline parallel to it.
Step 5
Through the center point, draw a round nose, one-third the length of the line, and above the center top line, two wide-set eyes.
Step 6
Through the oval of the nose, draw a curving line of the dolphin's smile - on the round part of the nose, the line bends up, to the right and left of the nose - down, and closer to the eyes, the line goes up again.
Step 7
Detail the dolphin's head - use shading to depict stripes, bulges, indentations and other elements of the body.
Step 8
Dolphins have both curved and pointed dorsal fins. Draw your dolphin and add a proportional, not too narrow and not too wide dorsal fin to the body. The drawn dolphin is ready!
