It is necessary

  • - sewing machine;
  • - scissors;
  • - compasses;
  • - graph paper for patterns;
  • - fabric for two covers;
  • - zipper with a length of at least 50 cm;
  • - polystyrene balls 5 kg.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose the size of the future chair. As a rule, its height is one meter. For the top case, it is preferable to use a material that is practical and easy to clean. For an armchair in a children's room, take a fabric with the image of fairy-tale characters, for teenagers - denim, for adults - a material with a geometric, floral pattern or solid color. Calculate the required amount of fabric based on the width of the selected fabric option and what size the chair will be.

Step 2

Prepare the wedge patterns that will make up the upper part of the chair. To do this, mark on graph paper the width of the base of the bag, for example, 0.4 m, and its height. Mark out the width of the upper part - 0, 20 m. To create rounding along the top of the wedge, set aside 3–4 cm down from the corners of the crown. Connect these points by drawing a smooth line through the center of the top. Round off the bottom as well.

Step 3

Make cut details for the top and base. Draw two circles with a compass. Make the radius of the circle that will serve as the base 0.4 m. The circle to form the crown is with a radius of 0.2 m. Cut out the elements and transfer them to the fabric. Cut out 2 circles and 6 wedges, leaving 2 cm for allowances.

Step 4

Sew the top cover. Place the two wedges right sides together and sweep on one side only. From above and below along the swept seam, back off the distance necessary so that the zipper can be sewn into the center of the seam. Sew the details from the ends to the markings that indicate where the zipper will be sewn in.

Step 5

Baste and then stitch on the next wedge. Press the allowances to one side. Stitch from the right side along the seam seam, 1 cm away from it. Sew all the gussets one by one.

Step 6

Turn the bag inside out. Fold its narrow edge and a circle of smaller diameter with the right sides. Sew them together and twist and stitch. Open the zipper and sew it in. Then sew and topstitch the bottom of the chair.

Step 7

Using basic patterns, make the inner cover. Do not sew in a zipper. Leave the small packing hole open when grilling the last piece. Fill the pear with granulate 2/3 full. Sew up the hole and put on the finished cover.
