You will not surprise anyone with flower-bed tires, they look rough and primitive. To admire your flower beds, you need to make a little effort, cutting out the desired outline. As you learn to carve out tires, your garden will be adorned with lovely palm trees, swans, flowerpots, flowers, and other old tire products.
It is necessary
- - tires;
- - a piece of chalk;
- - a sharp thin knife;
- - water;
- - jigsaw for metal;
- - Circular Saw;
- - White Spirit;
- - paint.
Instructions
Step 1
Find a good car tire, preferably without reinforcement. The thinner the material, the easier it will be to turn it out, and such a product will look smoother. It is better to choose a straight tread, rather than a semicircular one.
Step 2
Wash the tire, remove any pebbles from the tread pattern and chalk markings. Try to make a symmetrical pattern, you can even cut the template out of cardboard.
Step 3
To get a flowerpot, draw a zigzag line on one side in a circle, slightly stepping back from the edge. As a result, a narrow, serrated ring should be cut off.
Step 4
To make palm leaves, first draw three tangents to the inside diameter of the hole. As a result, the wheel will be divided into three parts. Then give these tangents a jagged shape to make the leaves more interesting. After cutting, nail the leaves, 6 at a time, onto the tree trunk.
Step 5
You can get a swan by making the following markup. At the end of the tire, draw a long neck ending in a head and beak. The total length of the neck is about 50 cm. At the point where the beak ends, draw a forked tail in the form of an inverted M (the nose fits neatly into the central hollow). The length of the crossbars of the letter M is about 15-20 cm. Along the inner diameter on both sides along the length of the neck, draw a line 5-6 cm from the edge. It will be about half the diameter of the tire.
Step 6
Start cutting the tire. First poke the hole with a narrow, sharp knife, then insert and cut. To reduce drag, dip it in water from time to time. If you come across a cord tire with metal inserts, cut out the figure with a jigsaw, a metal file. As a last resort, you can use a circular saw.
Step 7
Turn the product inside out. To do this, stand in the center and try to pull out the distant parts of the tire with your hands. Use the tools at hand - a pry bar, nail puller, screwdriver, and others. Turn out one side first, flatten the tire into a narrow oval, then turn out the rest.
Step 8
Wash the resulting figures from old tires again, degrease with white spirit or other means and paint.
