Biography

The future composer was born in June 1940 in the small village of Novye Aldy, in the construction area of the city of Grozny. The parents were forcibly deported to Kazakhstan when the baby was four years old. The boy could not get a secondary education, he had to help the family. Rolling up his pants, he, along with others, made bricks from straw and clay, helped build a house. Hard work, the hardships endured undermined health, affected vision.

He began to sing early, quietly repeating any melody while helping with the housework. Hearing a measured sound, my mother understood that her son had an ear, a vocal voice. She cheered him on, even put him behind the girls in the choir during the holidays. In times of famine, the dream of a musical instrument was unrealizable. But luck smiled at him, his aunt gave him the first balalaika for his birthday. In his free time, he studied the instrument, comprehending the unknown facets of music. A year later, the young self-taught became a welcome guest at the celebrations of fellow countrymen.

Career

The creative path began in 1957, when a 17-year-old boy, together with his brother Khamzat, took part in a competition of young performers. A month later he was enrolled in the Chechen-Ingush ensemble, where he worked for 11 years. As Dagayev himself noted, it was a wonderful period, he learned a lot.

1968 was marked by the transition to the Republican Philharmonic as a soloist. His favorite authors were Magomed Mamakayev, Magomed Sulaev, Akhmad Suleimanov, Shaikhi Arsanukaev, on which he improved his individuality.

Valid was a little less than thirty when he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Chechen-Ingush SSR. 1972 brought something new - well-deserved, and 1984 - People's Artist of the RSFSR.

Soon the war broke out, which temporarily interrupted his musical career. He had to leave the apartment, leave everything that had been collected with love for years. Then he returned to his homeland, continued to perform, transfer knowledge and experience. From 2000 to 2004, he actively participated in various festivals, which were held under the slogan of the Caucasus.

He was happy, there was always a faithful, kind and sympathetic wife Malik. Since 1959, she has been a worthy, faithful companion, an excellent mother. However, the children did not become musicians, and this did not upset him. He always said - "This path is very difficult and difficult, let them go as they see fit."
