Alexandra Summ is a famous French violinist, a scholar of various foundations and a laureate of many competitions. Performs brilliantly with both chamber and symphony orchestras. Alexandra is a native of Russia, but in infancy she moved with her parents to France, where she achieved great musical success.
Biography
Alexandra Summ was born in Moscow in 1989. When Alexandra was 2 years old, she and her family moved to France. Her parents were musicians, so Sasha's love for music is not accidental. From an early age, the girl was seriously involved in playing the violin under the guidance of her father. Already at the age of seven, Sasha gave her first concert. She then continued her musical education in Vienna. For this, Alexandra Summ moved to Austria with her parents and in 2000 entered the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and the University of Music and Theater Graz. There she began to study under the guidance of the famous Soviet and Austrian violinist Boris Isaakovich Kushnir.
Thanks to hard work, a natural gift and a talented teacher, in 2002 Alexandra Summ received the main prize of the Vienna Conservatory competition, after which she was invited to perform at the Vienna Concert Hall, and then at the Radio France festival in Montpellier (in her native French city).
The success of the girl did not end there, and in 2004 Alexandra Summ came to Lucerne for the Eurovision Song Contest for young musicians, where she became the undisputed winner. Later, the Herbert von Karajan scholarship was awarded. But this was not the last award of the girl, later she was awarded a scholarship from the Spivakov charitable foundation, and in 2012 - the London Music Masters prize for young musicians. Alexandra now lives in Paris.
Creation
The virtuoso game of Alexandra Summ leaves no one indifferent to this day. She performs with symphony and chamber orchestras from different cities and countries. For example, she has worked with the Detroit and Los Angeles Symphony Orchestras, the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and many others.
The violinist's repertoire is very diverse: from the Renaissance baroque to works by contemporary composers. It is known that Alexandra plays the violin, which was made in the 18th century by Giovanni Batista Guadanini, who was one of the best masters of string instruments, was a student of Stradivari.
From time to time, Alexandra participates in various international music festivals, and also gives charity concerts, in particular, together with members of the non-profit organization Esperanz'Arts, she performs for the poorest segments of the population.
Little is known about Alexandra Summ's personal life - she has not yet acquired a family and children, but devotes all her free time to work, career and travel.
