Rock and roll dance has been stirring up the blood for over half a century. Its bright elements and fiery music do not leave indifferent both professional dancers, so simply fans of this musical direction.
Instructions
Step 1
Rock and roll parties are still in vogue, which means sitting bored to dynamic music is simply unacceptable. You can't even start to learn simple dance moves in pairs. Stand in the starting position: spread your legs approximately shoulder-width apart, tilt your body forward slightly. While listening to music, shift the weight of the body from side to side from one leg to the other. Then add claps to the beat of the music (one on each side).
Step 2
Next, you have to learn one of the basic movements. Starting position: feet shoulder width apart. Place your right foot on your toes for one count, two times - lower your heel with some effort. Then, for a count of three, place your left foot on your toes, and four, lower it onto your heel as you did your right. Then on the count of five, take your right leg back and place it on your toes, six - return your right leg to its original position. Combine movements with music, but keep in mind that you need to do them energetically, because rock and roll is a continuous drive and dynamics.
Step 3
When you have learned these movements, move on to the next one. Stand in the starting position, then turn right 90 degrees and lunge onto your left toe one time, two times, lower your heel. Do the same with your right foot: one - lunge to the toe, two - heel to the floor. Five to six are steps from the previous basic movement, which is done in the starting position. Turning movements look great when paired. In this case, one of the partners starts it with the right foot, and someone with the left. Combine this and the previous movement into a single dance.
Step 4
These are the most basic rock and roll movements, but this dance consists of much more complex figures with turns, lifting a partner, slipping between the legs, etc. These and other movements are best practiced under the supervision of a professional. And when you master the tricks and supports, an endless field for bold improvisation will open before you.
