It is necessary
- - white T-shirt (100% cotton);
- - acrylic paints for fabric;
- - synthetic brushes of different sizes;
- - a large sheet of thick paper;
- - a simple pencil of medium softness;
- - thick fabric for lining;
- - iron
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the pattern you would like to transfer to your shirt. You can come up with it yourself, copy or download a ready-made template from the Internet. Draw the outline of the drawing with a bold black line on a piece of paper. This will be the stencil for transferring the design to the fabric.
Step 2
Place the stencil under the T-shirt, the design should show through well. Take a simple pencil and, by lightly pressing on it, transfer the stencil drawing onto the fabric of the T-shirt. Do this very carefully so that the pencil does not rip or catch on the fabric. After you have applied the contour, you can proceed to the most interesting thing - applying color.
Step 3
Place a thick cloth under the shirt to prevent paint from staining the back of the shirt. Acrylic fabric paints do not need to be diluted with water or solvents. Therefore, you can take paint directly from the jar, or pour a small amount into a small container, such as a lid, for convenience. Color application should be done carefully, being careful not to stain the rest of the T-shirt with paint. Apply the lightest tones first, then only the darkest ones. Use brushes of different sizes, depending on the area of the surface to be painted.
Step 4
After you have colored the entire drawing, let it dry, and then proceed to stroke the path. This task requires special care and accuracy. The line should be clear and straight. After you have traced the outline, leave the T-shirt for a while to completely dry the entire design. Acrylic paint dries quickly enough.
Step 5
Start securing the picture. Turn the shirt inside out and lay it on a flat surface. Preheat the iron well, the temperature should be suitable for the fabric of the T-shirt. Iron the pattern from the inside out gently. Your exclusive T-shirt is ready!
