Instructions
Step 1
We sketch. Mark the outlines of the parrot with light strokes of pencil B. Take a closer look at the photo and start reproducing the pattern of feathers, the outline of the beak and claws. Circle the drawing with black ink. Before moving on to the next step, check the photo again and make the necessary changes.
Step 2
Add color. Erase the pencil lines with an eraser. Use indigo ink on the spots around the parrot's eyes. Start coloring the feathers, alternating between diluted indigo and a mixture of fiery red and lemon yellow mascara - let the borders of the color spots go slightly beyond the boundaries of the ink lines.
Step 3
We are working on the plumage. Mix the fiery red and lemon yellow mascara and use the # 4 round brush to paint the beak of the parrot, and then paint the tip of the Indian beak with black ink. Prepare a mixture of indigo and black mascara, paint it on the paws of the parrot. Using a # 8 Hard Walnut Brush, use a mixture of sepia, fire red and black ink to paint a brown spot on the lower part of the front wing. Wet the brush and wash off the paint, not being afraid to mix with other paint that is painted on adjacent areas.
Step 4
We represent the body of a parrot. Use fiery red ink to paint the areas of the most intense red. Slightly blur the colors. On top of the red mascara, add some of the brown mixture you wrote to create deeper tone areas around the head and body of the parrot.
Step 5
We write the beak and tail. Paint the top of the parrot's beak with a mixture of sepia and lemon yellow mascara. Go back to the tail and refine the color and shape of the feathers with fiery red ink and brown mixture.
Step 6
Add shadows to the wings. Mix sepia with fiery red ink and show on the inside of the wing. Then lightly smear the mascara along the feathers with a dry brush.
