A set of nesting dolls is an excellent educational game for a small child. Matryoshkas can be counted, compared in size, played with them as mothers and daughters, in the store, and even put on theatrical performances. An adult usually shows play actions to a young child, which means that a parent or educator must first learn to play with such toys himself.

Step 1
In stores you can find a variety of sets of nesting dolls. They can consist of 3, 5, 7, 10, 12 colored pupae. For a very young child, a set of 3-5 nesting dolls is enough. Show your baby how to get them.
Step 2
Arrange the matryoshka dolls in random order. Teach your toddler how to compare them by size. Arrange the matryoshka dolls by height. At this stage, the child can master the concepts of "higher - lower", "more - less", "largest - smallest." The first will be the largest matryoshka, then the smallest. The last in the line is the smallest. Explain that you need to collect the dolls in order - put the smallest one in the larger matryoshka and close it, then this matryoshka - into the one that is even larger.
Step 3
The child will easily learn to count matryoshka dolls. They are outwardly similar, but at the same time they differ from each other, so it is easy for the kid to remember which matryoshka he has already counted and which has not yet. At first, the child will touch each pupa, calling a number. It is better to learn to count by placing matryoshkas in a row.
Step 4
Build houses for nesting dolls. It is very good if there are cubes and prisms of different sizes. You can choose your own set for each doll. Nothing prevents you from making a room for them - for example, on a shelf. Each nesting doll can have its own bed and its own table. If there are many cubes, build a city for the nesting dolls.
Step 5
Teach your child to play mother and daughter. The biggest nesting doll is mom, she has many children. For the first time, you can take the role of a mother to yourself to show the basic game actions. Matryoshkas can be put to bed, fed, taken for a walk, rolled in a car.
Step 6
Put on a theatrical performance. You can compose a scene especially for matryoshka dolls. But nothing prevents the use of other toys. Find the right tale. You can also play a scene with musical accompaniment - after all, you have a whole chorus. Matryoshkas can also lead round dances. The performance will most likely require decorations. They can be made from cardboard and colored paper. Decorations for the theater toys need the simplest - trees, a house, flowers, a fence. Just keep in mind that they should look good on both sides and stand firmly on the table. Instead of cardboard decorations, you can use cubes or legos.
