When your big group of friends gets together to make a game of poker, then you realize that you are missing a table at which it would be convenient to play this exciting old card game. Of course, not every apartment has a place for such a rather large piece of furniture, so it is better to make a folding poker table.

It is necessary

  • - Chipboard 250x102 cm;
  • - jigsaw;
  • - sandpaper;
  • - pencil and thread;
  • - felt fabric;
  • - green cloth;
  • - furniture stapler.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a chipboard 250x102 cm, now you need to give this countertop an oval shape. To do this, on each of the short sides, find the middle, mark it. Draw a line connecting these points. Along this line from the edge, measure 51 cm if the table is 102 cm wide, or half the table width if you took a different chipboard size. Screw a self-tapping screw into the marked place or drive in a nail, both not completely, but only in order to tie a rope with a pencil. Tie a thick thread or string to this fastener, at the other end of the thread, fasten the pencil so that its tip touches the edge of the table. Now with this tool, like a compass, draw a line from edge to edge of the chipboard.

Step 2

Do the same on the second side of the countertop. Saw off unnecessary parts along these lines with a jigsaw, grind the edges with a grinder so that there are no chips and small splinters. If you can't find a typewriter, sandpaper it by hand and place the finished poker tabletop on the floor. Take care of the folding mechanism. It can be purchased separately at furniture supply stores, or the entire folding table can be screwed on. Alternatively, you can use an old ironing board.

Step 3

A table of this design will, of course, not be easy, but it can be removed behind or under the sofa. Cut the felt fabric so that it completely covers the countertop and folds over to the back. Place a cloth, optimally green, face down on the floor. Lay a felt cloth on it, put the table itself on top. While pulling on the material, secure it with a furniture stapler. Carefully trim off any excess fabric if you haven't tucked the edges.

Step 4

This is the simplest poker table design that you can make in a couple of hours if you have everything you need. Of course, it is far from the present in form, but the participants and their mood are important in the game, and not the perfection of the equipment!
