As legends say, elves are creatures from another, magical world, possessing immortality and magical powers. It happens that they share this power with mortals, that is, with people. But how can you ask them about it?

Step 1
First, think carefully if you really want to mess with these mysterious creatures. Remember everything you know about them. Who are elves? In England they were called "the little people", in Ireland - "Sids", in Scandinavia - "Alwami", in Germany - "Zwergs". These are immortal creatures completely alien to people. They are not kind and not evil, they are indifferent to people and help only if they have their own interest. And the consequences of their help are unpredictable. Remember the legendary Scottish bard Thomas the Rhyme (ancestor of another great poet - Mikhail Lermontov), who, after spending a year visiting the elves, returned to his world as a deep old man.
Step 2
So, you are determined to resort to the help of the elves. But you can't just summon an elf. Usually they are hidden from the eyes of mortals and appear only to those who will be of interest to them. Therefore, try to interest your potential interlocutors. It is best to learn the poetry and music of the Celtic bards for this purpose. This, of course, will take time.
Step 3
The decisive moment has come - the elf's challenge. Wait for one of the two best days of the year. These days - May 1, the day of the sacred Celtic holiday "Samhain", and November 1 - the day of the holiday "Beltane". These days, elves, like other spirits and magical creatures, are most inclined to communicate with people. It is best, of course, to meet this day in Ireland, England, Wales or in the French province of Brittany - there are still traces of Celtic magic. Select in advance a place remote from cities. It should be a hilly plain, preferably with the remains of ancient pagan structures. When darkness comes, hide so as not to frighten off guests ahead of time, and wait.
Step 4
At midnight, if you're lucky, you will hear wondrous singing, and then you will see a procession of creatures of unearthly beauty. Come out to them with a bow and make your request. It will be best here if you apply the learned skills of versification. Now everything depends only on you.
