And although today in many homes there are electronic clocks that show the exact time in numbers, and even say what time it is, still a child should be able to tell the time by a conventional clock with arrows. This develops the baby's memory, his observation, logical thinking. In order for the child to be interested in knowing the time, you can make a simple cardboard clock. To do this, you need to draw a dial.

Step 1
Determine the center of the leaf. To do this, bend the sheet in half, then unfold and, turning the other side, bend it in half again. The center of intersection of the center lines (fold lines) will be the center of the sheet. Take a compass, set its tip to the center found and draw an even circle. In the absence of a compass, you can use a cup or saucer.
Step 2
Mark the fold lines on the circle with dashes and arrange the numbers. Above on the fold line - number 12, below on the fold line - number 6, to the right on the fold line - number 3, to the left on the fold line - number 9. Look at this watch so as not to be mistaken with the location of the numbers, accuracy depends on the accuracy of their place determining the time.
Step 3
Now take a ruler and, with a thin line, connect the dashes of the circle corresponding to the numbers 12 and 3. Divide this segment into three parts, make marks on the resulting segment no more than 1 cm from the edge of the workpiece.
Step 4
Use a ruler to draw straight lines through the center of the dial and the markings on the line. Bring these lines to a circle on both sides. You will get the location of the numbers 1 and 2 in the upper right corner, and the numbers 7 and 8 in the lower left corner.
Step 5
Draw the numbers, make their marks on the dial with dashes, erase the extra lines with an eraser. Similarly, find the location of the numbers 4 and 5, 10 and 11, drawing lines through the center and a segment connecting the numbers 9 and 12.
Step 6
You have received a watch face. To mark the minutes on the dial, use the same method, or simply draw four dashes between each pair of numbers at the same distance. Now, having made a hole in the center and reinforced the cardboard hands in it, you can teach your child to know the time by his own watch dial.
