Step 1
To make a remix, the main thing is to choose the right song. It's much more likely that your work will be noticed and appreciated if you choose a composition that is well known and loved by everyone (but check the copyright law first!)

The track is selected. Now you need some starting materials for your creativity. Ideally, these are all the tracks of a track - separate drums, separate keys, separate vocals, etc. Source materials can be requested directly from the artist, found on the Internet, or made on your own using a variety of sound editors.

The next step to remixing is to figure out what you want to do with this track. Maybe you want to turn it into a disco hit or a sad waltz?
Step 4
Having thought out the work plan, select the source material for the track with which you will be working. Cut the desired pieces of the track that you leave with the help of sound editors. And get ready for further creativity.
Step 5
Try experimenting with different sound effects - make the cut pieces (loops) sound in a new way using a flanger, delay, chorus, vocoder, etc. All of these features are available in numerous music production software.
Step 6
Create a remix. Choose the tempo at which your version of the old hit will sound, insert the selected pieces in the new arrangement and add your own music. But do not forget about the standard structure of any composition: beginning, development, culmination, ending. Be creative - swap parts of the song, add your own music.
