Many parents have to complete various homework assignments that were assigned to their kids in kindergarten. One of these tasks may be drawing a turnip. It is not at all difficult to portray her.
It is necessary
A sheet of paper, a simple pencil, an eraser, materials for work in color
Instructions
Step 1
Place the sheet of paper vertically. Using a simple pencil, start sketching this root vegetable.
Step 2
Draw a circle at the bottom of the paper, but so that it does not occupy more than half of the paper. If the circle is not even, it's okay, in reality the root crop does not have the ideal shape of a geometric figure. Turnips are both flattened and elongated.
Step 3
Next, draw leaves at the top of the circle. To do this, remove several elongated ovals from the "crown" of the turnip, the ideal number is three to five pieces. Then look on the Internet for images of turnips, pay attention to the structure of the leaves. Of course, you don't have to convey the exact shape. Slightly reshape the edge of the sheet, make it wavy. Draw a line in the middle of each leaf - this will be a small vein.
Step 4
Each turnip has a root, which, when excavated, remains a tail. At the bottom of the root, draw a small tail, like a mouse. To do this, draw two lines from the center of the root vegetable body below, which will intersect with each other. The sketch is ready. Edit unnecessary pencil lines with the eraser.
Step 5
Prepare materials to work in color. These can be paints (watercolors or gouache), colored pencils, crayons, felt-tip pens, etc. Start filling the picture with the background, it can be light and monochromatic. It is enough to apply the color around the picture - bluish, pink or gray. Then fill the turnip with color. Try to perform hatching in the shape of the root crop, from the edges to the center. Try to perform gouache strokes in the same way, the watercolor itself will spread. Do not make the turnip monotonous, mix several colors. For example, it may be yellow in the center, orange at the edges, and light green at the crown. Also try to mix colors when painting the leaves.
Step 6
After the drawing is dry (if you were working with paints), you can add a black stroke to your work, this will make your work more vivid. To do this, take a black helium pen or thin black felt-tip pen. Try not only to trace the drawing, but even draw some details on it a little. The turnip is ready.
