Step 1
Short removed loops are removed to a height of one or two rows. To tie them, thread the knitting needle into the loop from right to left and remove onto the right knitting needle without knitting.
Step 2
Long, elongated loops are wider - up to 6 rows. If you want just such a result, place the working thread on your index finger, insert the right knitting needle from left to right into the loop. Wrap the end of the knitting needle 2-3 times clockwise. Keeping the turns in the same position, pull the knitting needle back into the loop and remove the knitted loop onto the right knitting needle.
Step 3
In the second and subsequent rows, enter the knitting needle from right to left. Remove the loop from the turns without knitting.
Step 4
To consolidate your skills, practice on a small piece of knitting when you have free time. First, try making an elastic from the short, removed loops. To do this, cast an odd number of loops on the knitting needles and form a canvas with a height of 3-4 rows using any standard knitting method. Then cast on one row, alternating one at a time, knit and purl. Knit the next and all other even rows from the usual front loops and the removed purl loops.
Step 5
The second exercise will allow you to tie the extended stitches on the seamy surface. Cast on an odd number of loops. In the first row, knit 4 purl, one front with two turns (as in step 2), 5 purl. Alternate knit with purl 5 to end of row. At the end, knit the front one with turns, purl 4 and one hem. In the second row, make 4 front loops, remove one and pull out, lowering the turns from the knitting needle, then dial 5 front loops. At the end of the row, remove 1 loop, dial 4 knit and 1 hem. The third row consists of 4 purl, one removed, five purl. When you reach the end of the row, remove 1 loop and cast on 4 purl and hem. Repeat the pattern, alternately using the patterns of the second and third rows.
