Biography
Tolkalina was born on February 16, 1978 in the Ryazan region. The family of the future actress was simple, far from the world of cinema and art. The girl's mother took care of the disabled, and her father worked as a furrier.
Lyuba devoted most of her free time to synchronized swimming lessons. She dreamed of connecting her life with this particular sport and becoming a professional coach in the future.
As a schoolgirl, Tolkalina got a job at a children's theater on the water. At the age of 12, she played in the "water performance", which was called the "Bakhchisarai Fountain".
The girl performed in two roles at once - Mary and the Little Mermaid. And four years later, she became a master of sports in synchronized swimming.
Chance helped to decide on the future profession of Tolkalina. Once a young beautiful actress of the theater on the water was noticed by a director who was filming a commercial. On a personal meeting, Lyuba found out that the guy was studying at VGIK. Tolkalina saw a sign of fate in this meeting and decided to try her hand at acting.
After graduating from school, the girl went to the capital to enter a theater university. Tolkalina successfully passed the entrance tests and became a student of VGIK on the course with the famous actor Alexei Batalov.
Creation
The girl was immediately captured by the theatrical student life. Tolkalina plunged into this new world with pleasure. After graduating from VGIK in 1999, she was accepted into the troupe of the theater of the Russian Army. She played in the performances "Ivanov" (based on the play by AP Chekhov), "Khanuma" by Avxentiy Tsagareli and "Othello".
Four years later, she went to work at the Empire of Stars Theater.

Personal life
For a long time Tolkalina was in a civil marriage with the famous director Yegor Konchalovsky.
Lyubov met Yegor quite by accident. A friend asked Tolkalina to keep her company. It was the friend who at that time was in a relationship with Konchalovsky. But soon after this meeting, Yegor did not call his girlfriend, but Lyuba herself. This is how their romance began, flowing into a serious and long-term relationship.
The age difference between the spouses is 13 years, in 2001 the couple had a daughter, Maria.
The relationship between Tolkalina and Konchalovsky was not easy, articles about their separation were regularly published in the press.
In 2014, the common-law spouses denied rumors of a breakup and celebrated the 18th anniversary of their union by appearing together in Sochi at the Kinotavr.
