You will need light-colored roses (white roses are best), as well as food coloring of the desired color. Also prepare glass containers for flowers and clean water.

Dissolve the food coloring in the water. Add enough dye to only color the water, but not thicken its consistency. Cut off the ends of the stems of the roses with a sharp knife or scissors, being careful not to squeeze the stem. Cutting off the stems is necessary in order for the coloring to occur faster.
