Second-hand books are the object of desire of connoisseurs, collectors and collectors of antique editions. The main specializations of the House of Technical Books are architecture, aviation, mechanical engineering, light (including food) industry, "Moscow" bibliology, geology and geodesy, biology, chess art, some fiction, history, radio engineering, chemistry, physics (including astronomy), as well as mathematics.
The second one can be visited from 9:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Friday, and on weekends from 10:00 to 21:00. The second-hand department in the Moscow House of Books on Novy Arbat offers its visitors a large assortment on the following topics - physics and mathematics, chemistry, architecture, many different fiction books, foreign language dictionaries, publications about art, philosophy and religious studies, history and diplomacy, chess, medicine, geology and geography, and much more.
The last one - the second-hand department of the Akademkniga store - is open from Monday to Friday at 10: 00-20: 00, on Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00, Sunday is a day off. Experienced consultants will advise you on where to find the book you need and will advise you on emerging issues.
Since Soviet times, Akademkniga has been considered the best second-hand bookstore with an amazing assortment of rare editions.
