Antibacterial soap has gained unprecedented popularity in connection with the pandemic, although there is more and more opinion about the harm caused by its components. If you want to protect yourself and your family, it is better to make such a soap yourself. In this case, it will be made only from natural and healthy ingredients.
It is necessary
- Ingredients
- Mandatory:
- • soap base - 100 g;
- • base (fatty) oil of neem, castor, olive, rapeseed, jojoba, walnut, almond, etc. - 6-8 drops;
- • essential oil - eucalyptus, rosemary, fir, lemon balm, tea tree, etc. - 7-10 drops;
- • pharmacy birch tar - 1, 5-2 teaspoons;
- • 3-4 types of dry herbs with antibacterial and antiviral effects - eucalyptus, chamomile, peppermint, sage, etc. - ½ teaspoon each.
- Additional (if any):
- • glycerin - ½ teaspoon;
- • aloe vera - ¼ teaspoon of oil or ½ teaspoon of gel;
- • vitamins A (retinol) and E (tocopherol) - 2-3 drops each.
- In addition, you need:
- 1. Measuring glass made of heat-resistant glass (or other utensils for a water bath).
- 2. Form for soap.
- 3. Stirring stick.
- Additional ingredients improve the properties of the soap, primarily the moisturizing ones.
Instructions
Step 1
Brew herbs in 40-50 ml of boiling water; leave for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2
Cut the soap base into small cubes, put in a heat-resistant glass and melt in a water bath.
Step 3
Pour 1-1.5 tablespoons of herbal infusion passed through a fine sieve into the molten base, add base oils (I have yarrow, St. John's wort and him), birch tar and ingredients from the additional list (if any).
Tar can be added in larger quantities, in which case the soap smell will be sharper. The decision depends on individual preferences.
Step 4
Due to their high volatility, add essential oils (I have eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon balm and fir) last when the soap mixture cools down a little. Mix well, pour into a mold and leave until solidified.
Step 5
The soap is ready to use. Its color depends on the amount of tar - from light beige to brown.
