A large dollhouse is the dream of many little girls. If you want to please your child, but you do not have the funds to buy such a toy, then there is only one way out - to make a dollhouse with your daughter from an ordinary cardboard box.
To make a dollhouse, you will need:
- one large box;
- oilcloth (preferably two different colors);
- wallpaper (two colors);
- PVA glue;
- scissors:
- ruler;
- ceiling tiles (the amount depends on the size of the house);
- scotch tape;
- pencil.
The first step is to assemble the house itself. To do this, you need to take a box, put it on the side and cut off all four parts of its front side. As a result, a blank should be obtained, consisting of a back side, two side ones, an upper and a lower one.
Next, you need to take one cut piece of the box of a suitable size and glue it in such a way as to divide the inside of the box into two equal parts (make two rooms). You need to glue the cardboard exactly in the middle of the box along, fix everything well with tape. The base of the house is ready, now you can start decorating it.
First you need to cover the floor in the house with oilcloth. To do this, you need to measure the length and width of the floor of each room (there are only two of them), then cut out two pieces of oilcloth of the required size and stick them on the floor of both rooms in the house.
Next, you need to paste over the walls, wallpaper is the most suitable option for this. All that is required is to measure the walls of the rooms, cut out the necessary pieces and glue them with PVA glue.
The next step is gluing the ceiling tiles. To make the ceiling in the toy house look more interesting, you need to cut the whole ceiling tile into squares about five by five centimeters in size, then carefully glue them to the ceiling of the dollhouse.
The dollhouse is ready from the box, now you can dream up and arrange furniture in it, add a zest to the interior of the rooms by adding interesting homemade paintings, carpets, rugs and other things to them.
