Each house has boxes of shoes, household appliances and other goods. Some throw away unnecessary packaging; more enterprising owners use it on the farm and even make crafts out of it. You can cut various shapes from cardboard, decorate the box beautifully and are not afraid of damage to it - you can get material for new creations in any store (and sometimes for free). Try making a car out of the box - even if the toy breaks or gets bored by your child, it can be easily remade or replaced with a new one.
It is necessary
- - cardboard box (one or more);
- - long and manicure scissors;
- - wire;
- - compasses;
- - pliers;
- - colored paper;
- - foil;
- - gouache and brush;
- - stationery glue;
- - 4 plastic or paper plates;
- - bolt and nut;
- - toy steering wheel.
Instructions
Step 1
Separate all side covers from the cardboard box. For making a toy car, you can use any size packaging with dense walls.
Step 2
Using a compass, draw four identical circles on the cut lids. These are the wheels of a future self-made toy. Use sharp nail scissors to cut through holes in the center of the circle you have drawn.
Step 3
Turn the box upside down and mark the points on the sides for the wire rods that you will fit the wheels on. They should be on the same level, so calculate everything absolutely accurately. Punch small through holes in the box and insert the wire into them. The axles must be made long (box width plus 10 cm - 5 on each side) in order to provide a margin for subsequent fixation.
Step 4
String the cardboard wheels over the wire rods and check if they rotate freely. Now fix them well by twisting a coil of wire from the front side of each "tire". It is convenient to use pliers for this.
Step 5
Make the windows and doors of the car with colored paper and the headlights with foil. Liven up the craft with applique. You can stick paper figures of people or animals on the windows. You have a fun and easy-to-make bus.
Step 6
Use another smaller box if you want to make a carton car with a body. Turn the “cab” upside down and the “body” downside down. Attach wheels in the specified way, glue paper parts. Fasten the parts of the homemade car with wire twisted at both ends of the clutch.
Step 7
Cover several cardboard boxes with bright colored paper and attach the "carriages" to each other. You don't have to make wheels - this fun train can be used to store a variety of children's little things: books, toys, and more.
Step 8
Finally, a self-made cab out of the box can be put on a future motorist and sent on a "trip". To do this, remove the side covers of the package, cut a hole in the bottom for the head and shape the carton machine. Paint it with gouache, stick on the doors and headlights. Make the wheels decorative by attaching two disposable paper or plastic plates on each side with small bolts. To complete the picture, give the child a toy steering wheel or glue it with your own hands from the cut off covers.
