Rose is one of the most beautiful flowers, as well as difficult in drawing technique due to the structure of its petals. However, it is quite possible to draw a rose beautifully and not particularly bother drawing details.

Step 1
Get the materials you need to work with. Place a sheet of paper depending on the design you have chosen - a single flower, a bouquet in a vase or basket, and so on. With a simple pencil, start sketching.
Step 2
Sketch out schematically any other objects of the drawing besides flowers - a table, a vase, a cloth, a basket. Then use a large circle to mark a bud or several rosebuds in the picture. Draw stem lines from them.
Step 3
Next, start working on the bud. In order to draw beautiful petals, you can choose several moves. It is quite possible to depict a decorative, primitive rose. To do this, in the upper part of the blank circle, draw a "snail" or a flat spiral, as if it were petals twisted into a bud. Next, mark the borders of the bud and decorate it with a couple of opened petals
Step 4
You can draw a semi decorative rose. To do this, draw two lines down the sides of the "snail" and connect them at the bottom to form a bud. Then draw first two side petals, then the front and then gradually "build up" the splendor of the flower.
Step 5
If you are trying to depict a rose as similar as possible to a real flower, then start drawing from the core, which you draw in the form of a drop. Next, "build up" the flower with arched lines. Each petal may not be like the others. Towards the end of the work, reduce the size of the petals. Don't forget the sepal.
Step 6
Draw rose leaves on each stem, they are in the shape of a wide drop, the edges are slightly serrated. Draw stems and thorns on them. The closer to the sepal, the larger the spines. Prepare materials to work in color.
Step 7
You can perform work in color with paints, pencils, felt-tip pens, you can also use mixed techniques. Try to apply strokes or strokes in the shape of the petals. You can either first apply one basic color of the flower and then play with the shades, or mix colors and make transitions right away in the process. Both techniques will have interesting effects. Next, work on the stems and leaves using the same technique as for the buds. Don't forget the background.
