Fenichka is a hand-woven bracelet made of threads, beads or leather. It was originally an Indian decoration. Traditionally, baubles are woven for a specific person, while taking into account his character and other factors. This is a bracelet that symbolizes friendship and is passed from one person to another. They are made by hand and usually from threads. There are many different styles and patterns for this accessory.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose a multi-colored floss thread about 40 cm long. The more threads you take, the wider the tartan will turn out. There must be an even number of threads. You can knit with single-color threads or with multi-colored ones, knitting a symmetrical or asymmetrical pattern.

Step 2

Tie each thread in a knot on a large knitting pin in a row, leaving a small ponytail. When all the threads are on the pin, one or more braids can be weaved from the “tails”. Fasten a pin with threads on the pillow-dummy, so it is more convenient to weave the plaid. Spread the threads carefully so they don't get tangled.

Step 3

Take the working thread (the very first) and the warp thread (the second). In the first row, the outermost thread will be the working thread, and all the others in turn will be the warp threads. With the base, tie a knot over the working thread from right to left and not tighten too tightly. As a result, the warp and working thread will swap places. If you tie the first knot in each row with a base on top of the working one, and not vice versa, then the edges are neat. Do the following operations in the same way - take the working one (now it is in place of the second thread) and the warp thread (now the third thread plays the role of the warp). With a working thread we tie the warp thread from right to left and tie a knot. We make sure that all nodes are the same in density. As a result, the first thread was swapped with the third.

Step 4

Tie knots in this way to the end of the row, alternating the direction of the knots. It turns out that the working (first thread) changed with all the warp threads in turn. In this case, the nodes alternated: once with the working thread over the base, the second - with the base thread over the working one. The first and last knots are tied in the same direction. Even if the plaid is woven with threads of the same color, the sequence of knots gives a beautiful texture to the product.

Step 5

Braid the second row in the same way as the first. Now the former second thread in the row becomes the first and plays the role of a working thread, and all the others are warp threads. Be careful not to get the threads tangled in a ball. Knit the rest of the rows. Their number depends on the required length of the finished plaid. When the last row is knitted, weave pigtails from the rest of the threads, as at the beginning of work. Carefully trim the ends of the braids with scissors.
