Assembling an electric guitar is a rather painstaking and laborious process. Here it is important not to lose sight of the little things, so that the effective sound of the guitar is as close as possible to the "brand" guitar sound, and the product itself looks neat and even original.
It is necessary
- wooden guitar case
- the main components of the guitar
- varnish
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the wood for the body, tailpiece, pickup, variable resistor, socket, neck, strings. You may need polystyrene to secure the wire and belt buttons.
Step 2
Draw the future shape of the guitar body on the wood. Cut it out. Paint or varnish.
Step 3
Place the details of the future tailpiece directly perpendicular to the lines of symmetry. In this case, the distance from the regulator of the position of future strings to the twelfth fret should be equal to the distance from the highest nut to the same twelfth fret. Mark with a pencil the points that will later be the holes for the tailpiece screws. Remove the tailpiece parts. Drill holes.
Step 4
Take a pickup and determine what position it is intended for: Neck is usually on the neck, Midi in the middle, Brige on the tailpiece. The pickup is mounted so that all strings pass directly over its pins. If there are no pins, the strings should not extend beyond the pickup. Make a recess in the body. A recess is made for the resistor in the same way.
Step 5
Install the cartridge, run the wire over the groove (s).
Step 6
Make a kind of decorative panel out of polystyrene. Attach the wire to the polystyrene.
Step 7
Replace the tailpiece.
Step 8
Screw on the neck and stretch the strings. The neck is screwed with a screw in such a way that the neck itself in the finished guitar is located in the middle of the product.
Step 9
The final step in assembling an electric guitar is tuning its sound. This can be done independently or using special computer programs. Then you can attach the belt buttons to the guitar body. The guitar is ready to play!
