Often in the courtyards and playgrounds of big cities today you can find electric cars for children. Driving such a car is an exciting experience. But the cost of such pleasure is high, which is not affordable for everyone. But if desired, every home craftsman can build a children's electric car with his own hands. This requires available materials, tools and "golden" hands.

It is necessary

  • - car battery;
  • - electric motor from the car stove M-2141;
  • - wheels from garbage trolleys;
  • - a sheet of plywood;
  • - bearings;
  • - fasteners (bolts and nuts);
  • - toggle switch for switching the engine mode;
  • - pieces of a water pipe.

Instructions

Step 1

Use thick plywood for the base of your electric vehicle. Cut out the base according to dimensions so that it will fit your little driver comfortably. Equip the electric car with a seat with a backrest, which is trimmed with foam rubber and covered with leatherette, making a cover that matches the size and shape.

Step 2

Make the rear suspension of the electric vehicle. To do this, use a piece of water pipe, attaching two bearings and two pulleys to it, rigidly fastening them with bolts. Attach two wheels to the suspension, and one should be in free rotation, and the other should be rigidly wedged on the axle. Attach the entire structure to the body using metal plates and clamps. Attach 100mm rubber seals to the rear axle as straps (from normal domestic sewage).

Step 3

For the front suspension, use a conventional trapezoid, which will be displaced with a cable wrapped around the steering column. Secure the trapezoid from slipping with large metal washers. Pass the cable through the pipe so that it does not slip.

Step 4

Provide a forced cooling system by making it from an ordinary 0.5 liter plastic bottle and a computer processor cooler. Without such a cooling system, the engine will overheat after a few minutes of running and will need to wait for it to cool before continuing to drive.

Step 5

Equip the engine with a toggle switch that will switch the engine to one of three modes (reverse, forward, neutral). Make the steering the simplest, cable (rack and pinion). There is no special braking system; for this, the engine is switched to the opposite mode by means of a toggle switch. The described vehicle design carries a working load of about 30 kg and provides a travel speed of 14 km / h with a power reserve of up to 50 km (approximately 6-8 hours of continuous engine operation).
