How nice it is to come home from work in the cold season, wrap yourself in a warm blanket, put on warm socks and sit in front of the TV with a cup of hot tea. Of course, I want the socks to be not only warm, but also beautiful, with an openwork pattern. If you wish, you can tie them in a couple of days. To do this, you just need a little patience and imagination. Let's get down to the task.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose your favorite sock yarn and take five stocking needles, do not forget to buy some synthetic thread, since when knitting the heel and sock you need to attach it so that the socks last longer and do not rub in these places.
Step 2
Measure your leg and make a pattern for the sock. This is necessary to ensure that the sock fits you.
Step 3
Knit round socks and always on the front side.
Step 4
Tie the cuff with an elastic band, taking on the required number of loops so that the leg fits, basically about sixty loops, fifteen for each knitting needle. The elastic should be about five centimeters long. Tie the upper part of the sock with an openwork pattern about ten centimeters.
Step 5
Start knitting the heel with two knitting needles and be sure to add synthetic thread. The heel is knitted in a satin stitch on the front side with the front loops, and on the wrong side - with the purl. Next, knit the wedge of the instep of the foot and the sole, adding or subtracting the required number of loops.
Step 6
Knit the sock, cutting the loops in half, and then keep them to a minimum. When finished, pass the thread through the loops and pull it into the knot.
Step 7
Knit the second sock in the same way. Then wash the product in warm water and lay to dry. After both socks are tied, remove excess threads and try them on. Naturally, for socks, it is better to choose a softer yarn so that it does not prick. Then you will be happy to wear them. You can also tie them in multi-colored or stripes. It all depends only on your imagination and desire. You can knit socks for your loved ones, they will be very happy to receive such a gift.
