Over the past few years, pike fishing on a balancer has gained more and more popularity among amateur anglers. This method of fishing causes some difficulties, but they do not stop those who want to pull out a large individual from the hole. So what is the correct way to catch pike with a balancer?
It is necessary
- - rod;
- - fishing line;
- - leash;
- - balancer;
- - drill.
Instructions
Step 1
After the first ice has set, the most suitable time for pike fishing with a balance beam comes. The fish goes to the shallows to hunt for small change. The first step is to decide on a place that will be very successful for the catch. With the help of the balancer, you can fish not only in shallow water, but also at depth. The main thing is not to be lazy, but to explore as large an area of the reservoir as possible.
Step 2
On a broken coastline, it is recommended to drill holes at a distance of 1.5-2 meters from each other. If the coast is flat and without ledges, the distance between the holes should be 5-10 meters, at a depth of 10-15 meters. Remove the crushed ice from the hole so that the balance bar can easily pass into the water, and then sprinkle it with snow. It should be remembered that the pike is a very careful fish and even a slight knock can frighten it off (for this it is recommended to drill several holes at once).
Step 3
For pike fishing with a balancer, choose a reliable rod of the largest size (exclusively for winter fishing). Two options are suitable: a plastic Finnish rod or a smaller copy of a spinning rod. The balancer should be at least five centimeters, since there are much fewer descents from large baits. The hooks on the sides should also be large.
Step 4
Start fishing on the very first hole, as the fish have calmed down here. Make five to eight strokes of the balancer and move on to the next one, at the beginning of winter the pike takes on the third or fourth stroke. But it should be noted that you should not rely on instant results, but persistence is often rewarded with a good catch. If there are no bites, change the place.
Step 5
Most often, the pike attacks the bait during the planning (fall) of the balancer or during a pause, less often when lifting. In this case, the play of the moving balancer is important, but not the length of the pause. When biting, immediately hook and play. If the hook is not successful, continue swinging the rod. Change the balancer, often after that the pike starts to attack again.
